Cardinal Quest is finally out for iPhone, iTouch and iPad!
Check it out on the App Store!
EDIT: it's now also out for Android on the Google Play Market!
Josh (who is responsible for the mobile port) is watching responses closely and preparing to address player feedback - for example, he is a big chunk of the way through the iPad movement update already.
So if you or anyone you know has an iThing, go ahead and give it a go - we'd love to hear your feedback!

Love the game on my android galaxy tab 10.1. However it does not play well on my EVO 4G LTE. It seems to have massive lag issues with control input. I think It is having compatibility issues with ice cream sandwich.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we're trying to figure it out now.

ReplyDeleteA suggestion : add a purpose to the gold. I know, as you said on twitter, that it's only for high scores but frankly, I don't really care about knowing how much gold I made in a single playthrough and I doubt I'm the only one. I'd be more interested to know how deep I went in the dungeon, the most enemies killed in one playthrough, or how long I played before dying.
ReplyDeleteSo, about the gold, I was thinking it could be used to purchase lives. But in order to keep the game challenging, they would be expensive and the price would keep getting higher every time you buy one. Like, the 1st one costs 50g, the 2nd costs 100g, then 200g, etc...
By the way, how deep is the dungeon ? I've only managed to reach the 9th floor so far.
Nevermind, I just beat the game and now I know why we only get 2 lives. I must admit, the ending was unexpected. Guess I'll have to wait for CQ2 now. In the meantime, maybe add an endless mode to the original game ? (or maybe not endless, but at least more than 10 floors...)
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThis week I purchased CQ through IndieGala.com, but after installing it on my HTC Sensation Z710e, it doesn't start. I simply get a black screen for 10-15 seconds and then I am returned to my homescreen.
Google Play lists the game as compatible with my device.
Any tips on how to get the game working?
I downloaded the .apk three times, and did an uninstall/reinstall with each .apk.
Thanks,
Stefan
Are you using ICS (android 4) by any chance? We've received some reports of incompatibility between adobe air and ICS.
ReplyDeleteI just dropped by to say I played Cardinal Quest and utterly loved it. Didn't put it down until I had defeated the Minitor using all three classes. Thanks for an awesome game!
ReplyDeleteHi Ido,
ReplyDeleteThat's right, I'm using Android 4.0 which Vodafone supplied me with in my country.
Stefan
Lovely Game! Haven't beat it yet, but am Trying hard. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI like the game so far. It's very polished.
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit unbalanced though.I can play unto level 8 without any difficulties and then on level 9 I get hit once and it's instant death!
I very much like the sound effects. They enhance the overal quality of the game a lot.
Any news on a fix for the ICS lag bug. Love it on the tablet but I have the phone on me more :)
ReplyDeleteNothing I can do except hope adobe fixes it soon...
ReplyDeleteOhh did not know it's an issue with Adobe.
ReplyDeleteCardinal Quest is a great game! but to pay for her 5 euros .. No, toad strangling. Here 0.5-1 euros would be willing to pay, thanks to the developer, but no more.
ReplyDeletesorry for my English, I use machine translation
It's only $3 on mobile ($5 for desktops). Also there is a free version with ads and some features disabled linked on cardinalquest.com.
