Cardinal Quest 1.0 Now Online!

Cardinal Quest is now finally available on for windows, mac & linux!

Cardinal Quest is an arcade-style dungeon-crawler inspired by 1980s classics such as Gauntlet, Red-Box D&D and Golden Axe: Choose your champion and begin your quest to slay the Evil Minotaur!

Three distinct characters await you, each providing their own unique experience:

The Fierce Fighter - who can stir himself into a berserk frenzy.
The Stealthy Thief - a mysterious assassin who dispatches his foes from the shadows.
The Mystical Wizard - able to bend the forces of the elements to his will.

Have fun,

  1. Hello,

I would like to suggest a quick fix:

    change the HTML title to

"Cardinal Quest - arcade-style indie roguelike for Windows, Mac & Linux"

    for marketing reasons ;)

I hope you'll be releasing sale statistics.

  2. Hey Ido, just tried the game, pretty nice but it seems a bit too easy (or am I playing it wrong/right?), I won this on second try (once I figured out how to play) as the wizard w/o using any potion just by using a fireball/slow/sleep combo

  3. You're right it certainly needs some balancing & I will be adding difficulty settings.

It's a problem accounting for vastly differing skill levels among player, it is too hard for many but too easy for others.

  4. Ok Thanks, also is gold used for something (or for future highscore feature?)

  5. Will currently only be used for high scores, but I'm thinking of adding wandering merchants.

  6. Is there a bug/rfe spot for CQ? :D

  7. Eben: yeah, you can use for that - I just didn't announce it anywhere yet...Still need to link it from the main site and fix some issues with it.

But feel free to start bugs & RFE threads!
